Belstaff Accessories – Perfect Premium Gifts

by The Bringer of Gifts

Belstaff are really attacking the UK fashion market at the moment, and are offering a superb range of winter gifts and accessories for the fashion conscious man. This season has seen a growing range appear on the high street and online, with last Christmas only offering some beautiful leather belts this year is seeing a wide range of leather goods, and some superb winter warmers alongside a selection of bags. Belstaff has been a top motorcycle brand since the early 1900s when hardwearing leather jackets were designed and manufactured for races. This led to gloves, hats and cold weather warmers being developed as well as the introduction of the wax jackets that you can still find in todays designer jacket collections. Belstaff is a very distinct premium product that simply shouts quality and expertise. With plenty of years of experimentation, history and heritage they can bring you some of the best product around, with the autumn winter 2011 accessories showing this.

This season if you’re looking for a winter warmer, or the perfect gift for the premium British brand loving male then Belstaff is a great choice. For an everyday gift their range of knitted winter beanie hats and scarves look superb. Admittedly they will set you back around £90-120 for the pair but you’ll get a woven or knitted wool hat or scarf with a top designer name on the front. If you’re looking for something a little more unique or different Belstaff have launched a pair of leather gloves that come complete with their own storage bag. However, these will set you back at least £100 but are perfect for the winter, or provide a thoughtful gift for a loved one. Finally the bags are a great for day to day use or special occasions. Available in weekend bag, shoulder bag, large and medium bag size. These waxed cotton bags look amazing and can be used casually or for business, safe in the knowledge that you have a top designer brand name on the bag, but also that you’re getting some beautiful quality detail and craftmanship.

Flat Caps, Headwear No Longer Seen On Your Grandad

by The Bringer of Gifts

Flat caps have been around since the early 14th century when it was believed that in the northern England town of Grimsby, and some parts of southern Italy the first flat caps were produced and worn. Over the years they have been called bonnets, caps, cheesecutters and golf caps. Generally made from wool, and carrying a stiff peaked brim the flat cap was even part of law at one point, and an appearance in public without your cap would lead to a daily fine. Many believed that the flat cap would be given to the history books, and only seen on older gentlemen, such as people around your grandparents age, golfers and farmers. However in 2010 the trend came back, alongside the outdoor style that has made a fashionable appearance in the world of designer clothing.

To complement the quilted jackets, gilets, chunky knitwear, wellington boots and chinos the flat cap is part of British outdoor heritage and has followed the trend back, with major British brands such as Paul Smith, Hackett, Henri Lloyd and Ted Baker all including quilted or wool mix designs within their last couple of seasonal collections. While the designer flat hat might not be cheap you are indeed paying for the designer name, and in this case it differenciates the premium designer caps from anything found on a market stall, however this can be said of most designer fashions. That isn’t to say that you need to spend around £50 on a designer flat cap, but that will make all the difference to the man seeking a designer gift this Christmas, or any special occasions before then. Not every male wants to don a beanie hat when the weather turns, so this might be the perfect opportunity to team it up with a Belstaff jacket, quilted coat or any other outdoor winter trend item.

So just because your grandad and his mates are seen around town in their flat caps doesn’t make this any less of a fashion must have this winter. Pick up a flat cap for yourself or loved one and enjoy the outdoor designer trend while its here. Need some celeb reassurance or inspiration? Check out David Beckham and Brad Pitt below!

Vivienne Westwood Cufflinks

by The Bringer of Gifts

With men’s gifts massively on the rise since the internet began to overtake the high street in terms of sales and popularity the gifts and accessories market has boomed. Whereas before shoppers would devote their time to finding the clothing that they want in the correct style and size the internet has made this easier with intelligent site searches presenting the items that people are looking for quicker. With this extra time, and in most cases savings shoppers are spending more time looking at the little designer add-ons and gifts with people more inclined to view the smaller items, and take their time looking at them when they don’t have shop assistants pushing them or other shoppers bustling around them.

Vivienne Westwood is known by many, but loved by a much smaller proportion, but i have to admit that their collection of cufflinks for Christmas 2011 look amazing. Completely different to any of the other top brands that produce designer cuff links such as Paul Smith, Ted Baker, Hugo Boss and Armani the Vivienne Westwood cufflinks are colorful, eye catching and feature swarovski crystals in the majority of their designs. Their signature orb logo and design can be found on the links, alongside skulls, hearts, tiger eyes and the more customary rectangle and circular designs. The cufflinks are available in a variety of colours, and will add some colour and eye catching style to your outfit and shirt as well as give you the perfect opportunity to give these as a gift as they come in their own grey Vivienne Westwood embossed logo presentation box and a grey velvet pouch to keep them safe and ready for when you need to wear them.

Vivienne Westwood is a premium British designer brand, and one that at times is so unique and crazy that it seems too crazy to be classed as designer, but the brand has a hardcore following that love the difference and will continue to be a little ‘off the wall’ in their designs. If you’re wanting a pair of Vivienne Westwood cuff links then make sure that you have a good shop around as they’re quite rare online in the UK. Mainline Menswear has a small range of mens Vivienne Westwood cufflinks, as does  My-Wardobe and KJ Beckett. This gift won’t be for everyone, but if you judge it right you’ll get a lot of thanks for such an amazing gift.

Welcome to Designer Gifts for Men!

by The Bringer of Gifts
Welcome to my blog Designer Gifts for Men, the one stop blog to hopefully inspire you with gift ideas for the man or men in your life. I got the idea for the blog while recently looking for the ideal Fathers Day present for my dad. Nothing too expensive or mind blowing, but something that would prove useful, classy and shows that I care. After much searching, and reading of some pretty poor blogs I decided that along with some other experienced writers a new central blog, or gift hub would be formed and we’d bring you some of the best places, best gifts and best designer names currently available on the high street or online today.

There are plenty of online retailers, some good, some really bad so we’ll tell you were to shop and where to avoid. What the best gift will be for which occasion and also help people to find gifts within certain criterias such as age, value and event. For instance if you need a gift for your grandad for under £20 from a more classic designer name for a Christmas stocking filler then we’d be pointing you in the direction of Armani, Hugo Boss or maybe even Lyle and Scott socks. We’ll cover all occasions and events throughout the calendar year that you may need a gift for a man such as Christmas, Fathers Day, Valentines Day, Easter, New Years and that all important seasonal Birthday gift. There will also be chance to shop for opportunistic gifts, where a thank you, get well or congratulations may be in order.

We will take the leg work out of gift hunting and shopping by using our own personal experiences, and any that you may wish to share with us so check out the scrolling gift banner or check out our categories and start looking for the inspiration that will hopefully give you less stress and more time to enjoy the present with the man or men in your life.

If you need any help, or want some advice you can’t see here do not hesitate to drop us an e-mail, we’ll happily work with you to find that ideal present – info@designergiftsformen.co.uk
